PROJECT

Redmond Bike Park is a project of the City of Redmond, Parks and Recreation Department. The general goals of the project are to provide local riders of all ages and skill levels with a facility designed and built specifically for practicing and developing bicycle riding skills in a safe and controlled environment.


PROJECT GOALS

The specific goals for the Redmond Bike Park project are:

  1. 1.Develop a Bike Park for beginner, intermediate and advanced level riders.

  2. 2.Protect nearby water bodies, native trees, vegetation, and wildlife.

  3. 3.Develop safe pedestrian routes around the Bike Park area.

  4. 4.Provide clear signage about park rules, safety, and parking.

  5. 5.Improve street frontage along 171st avenue NE.

  6. 6.Design the park for crime prevention.

Preliminary Design & Public Meeting: March - April 2010

Draft Design: May - November 2010

Design Plans & SEPA Review Complete: March 2014

Construction: June - August 2014
